Kellogg has teamed with Gatlinburg's Sugarlands Distilling Company to create the Eggo Brunch in a Jar Waffles & Syrup Sippin' Cream — a 20% alcohol-by-volume beverage aimed to spice up breakfast. COOK COUNTY, Ill. – A private security guard is charged with first-degree murder charge after the Cook County Sheriff's Office says he shot and killed a driver leaving a Ford Heights strip club last Saturday.At around 5:30 a.m. on August 12, deputies responded to the 800 Block of E. Lincoln Highway in Ford Heights for a shooting outside the Atlantis Gentlemen’s Club. NEW YORK — Major League Baseball suspended one of the Cubs' minor league pitchers on Tuesday, and it comes down to the use of a banned substance. Dalbert Mosquea, who is pitching for the Cubs' rookie team in the Dominican Summer League, was given a 56-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol. This was announced just ahead of the big league club's start of their City Series with the White Sox at Wrigley Field.Use of that performance-enhancing substance is a violation of MLB's Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.The 18-year-old pitcher was signed by the club as a free agent on June 29, first assigned to the DSL Cubs Red team before joining their DSL Blue team. Minnesotans could see tax rebates, worth as much as $1,300 per household, hitting their bank accounts later this week with more than two million payments expected to be send out by the end of September.Gov. Tim Walz is expected to formally announce the rebate checks have started to be distributed Wednesday at the Capitol in St. Paul during a back-to-school event with Paul Marquart, state revenue commissioner, parents and students.Direct deposits could be received by some taxpayers later this week and paper checks will be mailed later.All rebates should be sent to eligible taxpayers by the end of September, according to the governor’s office.To qualify, single filers must have $75,000 or less in income and couples must have earned $150,000 or less.
