TORONTO — Canada’s main stock index was up in late-morning trading, helped by gains in the base metal, financial and industrial sectors, while U.S. stock markets were lower.The S&P/TSX composite index was up 38.49 points at 20,680.46.In New York, the Dow Jones industrial average was down 112.81 points at 33,874.37. CHICAGO — A 14-year-old girl has died a week after being shot in the city’s Austin neighborhood.The medical examiner has identified the teen as Charity Johnson.Officers responded to the 10-100 block of North Lorel on August 10 and discovered the 14-year-old with a gunshot wound to the buttocks. (WCIA) -- A family that disappeared more than two months ago from Newton has been found safe in Arizona, police said.In a press release, officials said Stephen, Monica, Aiden and Nicholas Lutz were found in Cochise County, the southeastern-most part of the state. Operations at St. Paul’s Holman Field airport will temporarily cease Tuesday as crews install flood barriers as the Mississippi River conitinues to rise.The river — expected to reach major flood stage of 17 feet on Wednesday — borders the airport.
